oil ratio for rz254 evo

Hi guys I just got back into boats and purchased a rigger with a rmck rz245. the guy said he ran 16:1 for about 4 gallons, just trying to confirm that this is right. I have a 30.5 zen for my baja buggy that i run 25:1 are boat and car engines a little different in regards to oil/fuel mixture. thanx in advance have a great day

Yes 16 :1 (8 oz per gallon ) is an accepted and good oil / fuel ratio for these engines . Some run as much as 10 oz per gallon , some run less but 16:1 is a proven ratio and you will not make more power with less oil in these engines .

Some run Dino oil some run Synthetics . I have been using Honda HP-2 , Amsoil Sabre , Reg Merc Premium Plus , and Pennzoil full synthetic . They all run great .
