The outside isn't as short as for a example as the ODBlues. The 289,s have more height.

I have found that the twist lock ignitors will not work on the OD's. They are too tall to secure the twist lock ones onto the plug body. The spring loaded ones, such as the Dubro, Great Planes, Hot Shots, etc., will hold onto the OD's. I have not seen any of the 289's so I cannot speak about them.

I know they work on the plugs that are similar to the OD003 but not the 289's.
