Hey Chris,

Tim is the person that makes them. You can get them from Tim or Mark Hopper. If you are looking for cheap parts you are building the wrong motor, No parts are cheap for the NR but it is worth it. TB

chris,

Let me put my 2 cents worth in also.

I run a rossi 3.5 o/b on my leecraft tunnel and love it!

Yes the nova mtr is nice also but, remember you have to buy the conv.kit , a crank and a carb!

dollar for dollar the rossi o/b is my choice.

I will put my rossi o/b (done by p.b racing ) out there with any outher 3.5 ,,novarossi,or whatever!!

Just remember ,its not always the fastest motor that wins on race day,,,

I understand exactly what MJ is saying about the Rossi .21 I love ours but she is getting old. The only problem with the Rossi .21's is YOU CAN"T GET THEM!!!!!

Tim ;D

You are of course right about being the fastest, you have to first finish the race.

I have been around in this hobby for a while now, I have just never fooled with the outboards much. When I said cheepest I ment least expensive. Like most everyone, I'm on a budget.

Most of the guys that run the outboards at the races that I go to, run the Nova Rossi motors on a 45 K&B lower unit. This is what my intentions were to do. I got a used motor from a friend and I have a new boat, a Hopper 290, on the way from FL.

I think that all I will need from here is...

The Crank

The PTO

The 45 Lower Unit

A Header and a pipe

And finally, A Motor Mount

I know that I will have to do some cutting on the lower unit and I know that I will have to redrill for the PTO to line up with the lower unit and I am assuming that I will have to order the PTO to fit the larger cable of the 45 lower unit... Ramble, ramble, ramble!!! Is there anything else I need to know and am I on the right track here?

Thanks,

Chris

Hi Chris,

Yeah you've pretty much covered it, but you also need an OB flywheel and a rotary barrel carb (depending on what came withthe motor. Almost forgot a steering arm to suit. Think you can get all this from Tim at Precision.
