Terry,

The old 5 port and 7 port both work good in my opinion.

Wow Mark. How fast have you been with the beta? I believe my best official pass was 2.158 which is just off the record, and that was with a 7 port sleeve. Weather has not been on my side the past few times at record trials but i have ran faster with the DD testing than i could with that engine. With that being said kentleys 2 way record is still fast, and not easy to beat.

Mark, Maybe u should try it since you have all the answers?!?!

Good luck Aaron, look forward to hearing some results!

Martin,

I have been testing 12 and 28 motors in my SAW boats lately.,

So you never know what is up next Spring in Flint, MI?

And I know you don't know that I was very involved in the 103+

record that Mike had before Kentley's current record. You were

not even in boating yet?

And I do not have all the answers still learning like everyone else.

Mike and Terry,

It looks like the DD-21 is the way to go.

Sorry that we got off the topic a little bit.

Thanks,

Mark Sholund

One other thing that has not been mentioned is the big wrap around pipe sticking out in the air. The DD has a much better profile for going fast.

that is the reason i am going to try the dd this next yr marty tired of the stupid mounts you have to make and the pipe not wanting to stay put.

hope this motor is good.

Chris:

You will love the engine, it is by far the best 21 engine that I have ever had. Only thing you won't like is the cost to change bearings

A little head button change will make it superb.

I will say Jack and Steve's 21 hydro is truly impressive. I believe they did a fast pass of 114mph but no back-up. The motor is perhaps closer to their tether car motors than the standard Nova. I am expecting some good competition between Aaron and Steve, it just might make Mark dust off his 21 boat.

TGDon't know about that this time round, as I have not even finished building boat let alone run it or done any testing

I am looking forward to meeting you & watch your "very fast" creations make some record setting passes!!!

If I can help in any way please let me know.

Don't worry Aaron, I am still building a rigger from scratch for the event and have a long way to go. With 5 days we could make a 2x4 go 100mph!
