Hey guys, I am building a sport 40, but I would like to know who sells scale hydro's (preferably in Canada). I have always wanted to know. Does any one have any idea who has them and good quality ones?

Thanks for all the help.

Peter

hey, I'm inthe process of making a mold for a 48" hydro I bought from a friend in the u.s, who in fact bought the rights to use a mold off some company. My end goal it to be able to cast a hull out of carbon fibre. but this will not be until a get a flawless fibre-glass hull first since fg is 8x cheaper then carbon fibre. the hull itself as far as shape goes is very nicely done, but i found that they did a crappy job of joining the top and bottom together: which is why I got the idea to recast it in the first place. the cowl is a little high- well normal for a hydro , but i think i'm going to make a new plug for the cowl and try a more streamlined look.

Hi Peter.

No one in Canada makes a scale hull that I know of. If you REALLY want to get into this class, and have the money, let me know and I'll find you a boat. I'd suggest running your Sport 40 for a season or two before racing in the scale class. Not sure if you were aware that I am the Scale Director for our District.

Thanks .................. Randy
