Nitro/gas 2-stroke

I was just wondering what effects would running a 2-stroke engine on a nitro blend fuel would have? Would this fuel make more power, or simply self distruct the engine. I wanted to try this on an old modified homelite engine, but wasn't sure if this would work, or what the outcome was. Any help on this matter would be great, the engine will be use for sport/fun only. ;D

I though the whole idea behind running gas was to get away from nitros cost and problems,if you want to run gas stick with what comes out of the pump.
