Hey Grim,

What is the idea of the step on the top of the rear sponsons? I have never seen that before.... ???

The rear sponsons have much to do with the handeling of the hull. I use this sponson design to clean up the vortices that the the back of the boat makes.. this can not be done with just an angel cut..like a road runner..

I know what you mean. The first time I saw one, my first reaction was "Man, that thing is ugly. But FAST." Trust me--they grow on you.

Look at it this way, if nobody in your club is serious about running one, you could easily have the fastest boat on the pond.
