Has the Vision been introduced to water yet...??

No sir it has not as I been working Long hours at work and also doing stuff with my family and my 19 month old baby boy. plus the weather here in FL has been too hot to want to make me go out and test the boat or any boat in that matter.

10-4 on the family/work... And a 19 month old will definitely keep you on your toes.....keep us posted...were all interested....

Julian..
So did you make it through the hurricane or did you relocate...I have family in Daytona Ormond beach...and were able to stay....friends in Jax that had to leave and go north..

Nope we stayed and everything is good we got some winds and rain but we are safe. It was not as bad as we thought it would be

Very nice lookong boat and build...
Hope you are not planning on running water AND that full air cooled head?

I needed to restrict the water alot on mine to get it to build enough heat with all the fins machined right off (so pretty much a standard water cooled head).
Cheers
Kris

Hi Kris,
I know boat guys don't check temps like car guys do but have you ever put a thermometer on one of your engines coming straight off the water?

Kris is right...The old rule of thumb is: If you can keep your hand on the head for 3 seconds before it burns you then it's in the right heat range. 2 seconds would be a little too hot and 4 seconds would be a little too cool. You can not go wrong with that way of checking it. Just make sure you come right in and get your hand on it quick to get an accurate feel of it.

to add further to what Carl has said, I always pick my boats up from the wheel or try to ensure the head does not get dunked when picked up...especially when i want to check heat. Also to try to ensure no water goes down its throat (carby)!
