J Caine’s,

Nice looking boat
I have a friend that needs one just like that.
Do you know where anymore are?

Sweet Boat,

Mark Sholund

Okay, question about setting up the saddle tanks. When you are building the tanks do you build them both identically? Meaning, does the pressure line go up into the vent bubble on both tanks, or does the second take (which uses the pressure line as a fuel feed line) get set up differently?

I’m not even sure that question makes sense. Let me know if I need to explain it better...

You set them up the same. It’s all
About flow on 2 tanks, so you wanna use larger line going from one tank to the other. 5/32 should be good.

Location doesn't really matter(other than for balancing the boat) as it's all just plumbing. My scale Elam works well with twin tanks plumbed as follows:
1) pipe pressure tap to tank 1 vent
2) tank 1 outlet to tank 2 vent
3) Tank 2 outlet to engine carb or, if so equipped, the remote needle valve

I do have to agree with Sam, go larger on the line between the tank or you could have issues with consistent fuel pressure at the needle valve

Jarcaines-just so you know-this is NOT a Leecraft. I did not design it or build it or have anything to do with it. It may be a great running boat but my name should not be connected to it. This is a Ron Shaw deal and he should correct this.

Tommy, thanks for the heads up. I actually knew that it wasn’t your design. It’s a Arno Berts design but when Alfred was selling LeeCrafts he laid these up and was selling them under that name. Sorry for the confusion, I just don’t know what else to call it. This one was laid up by Alfred before Ron got ahold of the molds.
