intrested in the new p .67-R
I have a new Rod Gerahty modified listed for sale here. There is one person interested but if that falls thru we can talk. If the other deal does work we can hook you up with a motor that can have new piston sleeve rod crank, but would have a used case, water jacket etc.

Thanks,

Allen Waddle

I think I may have this communication down. I also see that you have a new piston sleeve rod crank. I'm definitely interested in that. How much and how do you accept payment?

I know the horse is dead and we have done everything but sell it to the glue factory...BUT the Picco website is showing marine engines. They all look new except for the 67/80. Anyone know if these are available in Europe? I heard a rumor that they scrapped the tooling so they would not have to pay taxes on the stuff. I also heard a rumor that they stopped production on marine engines because the "son of Picco" is a car person and has no interest. Last but not least; the third rumor I heard was that they will make them but only if there is a HUGE order to fill.

I am sure this will make the dead horse into rancid hamburger but I am baffled why they would show product on the website and not produce anything when there still is a small but loyal market. If they can ship thousands of car engines, whey not make a run of some marine engines and throw them on the boat too?

Let the beatings begin!

1. Alberto Picco Senior had a stroke. He was the driving force behind the marine motor. If he has passed no one knows.

2. The floor has been swept clean of all part runs on marine motors. FACT.

3. Alberto Jr. Has invested in the car market. FACT

4. Machine tooling for marine motors...................GONE? As far as we know YES!

5. If someone wanted to invest a bundle of money in starting up again??? Would you find a way to make the motors??

6. Having a draw full of Picco motors and parts and knowing who else has them?? PRICELESS

I dont understand your question. If you want to order 2 to 3 hundred 67s, I think Picco would make them. But the way the Euro- Dollar is, that would make for a very high price motor.

Well, since my thread was HI-Jacked and returned I guess the ledgendary Picco marine as we knew them are gone, for now, CMB are one of the few left and what about the OPS's, aint seen nothing new from them in year's either,??? guess we keep the picco's going as far as the part's in other peep's hand's will let us go. with that, I thank everyone's comments!!
