Great to hear from you. What MMM has been doing over the years has been excellent for the hobby. I do miss my annual boat racing up on Humber Bay pond which lasted 7 years in a row ending in 2000.
I believe that what MMM does has been great for the hobby and the Toronto waterfront. Seeing crowds of people, the Canadian friendships, Marek, kites flying, corn roast and that old guy with the Poole has been sorely missed but not forgotten. Also having conditions change mid day adds to the excitement. If it was not for MMM, Batavia would not have started running the N M-Course which I do believe is good for the hobby. The FE community can learn quite a bit from MMM's lead and position.
I am glad Vova and Ed has an excellent foundation in the hobby with MMM and the Reesor Boatworks. This is a tough hobby to get into, especially to scratch build boats. Between the Reesors and Doug Forrester you are among the best.
Some day I hope to make it back to MMM HB although you guys might have my picture up at the gate not to not let me in... LOL. At least I still have family in East York, have 1 Big Turk left and my picture is not on a milk carton/bag.
