hey Garson just to let you know i just bought a 40 rigger to help the class in our district, D-3 is looking good for 40hydro, we should have close to 9 or 10 consecutive guys running at some of the local state races..Finally got mine running last weekend, it tracks straight and turns on a dime. Rudder on the right and using a Accu Tech short gas turn fin. Motor is a K&B 45 with an OPS 60 pipe, rudder is 2.2" below ski still needs some fine tuning.
Where did you get your cowl?
Sharpening the inside of the turn fin to a shorter more blunt taper can also help this problem. On my 21 JAE I extended the wet point on the left sponson further back as well.Well tested the boat today.
Only tested the ops65 pipe and it defiantly needs some more testing.
The big issue is that the boat drags hard to the right.
I have the right spon has a 2mm toe in. Max I can get. To tight fit. The fin is from Mike Hughes any ideas?
