Brian Buaas just raised the P Hydro (4S = 14.8 volts) to 136 mph, with a fast pass of 141. This is almost as fast as the old T Hydro record of 140 mph. Congratulations to Brian!

Great job! Man these FE records just keep climbing!

Brian was able to up the record to a whopping 138mph average on 4 cells with a 32" boat. And to add insult to the rest of us, it was his heat racing boat with only a sponson change.

CONGRATS B!

Congrats Brian ,

that's the challange ,to top the records of the bigger class boats , fantastic !

@Tyler,

i hope you hid the oval sponson so Brian need moore time to set a new record in oval.

Any infos about the hole driveline (motor, batterie, shaft and propeller) Brian used ?

Cristian, I won't say the specifics of what Brian ran, but generally he is running a TP motor, the new Dinogy Graphene cells, a flex cable and the new style ABC props.

Thanks guys! It was a great weekend. I honestly was just hoping to get close to the 130 mark. The things we've learned over the last couple years are really starting to pay off. I need a couple days to get through the data I collected. I'll put a more detailed post together this weekend. I couldn't have done it without the help and support of good friends.

Thanks Guys.

I'm going to do something I rarely do: Here's the entire setup.

Disclaimer***this setup is right at the very edge of the equipment capability!!! Use at your own risk. This boat is a product of 3 years of tuning.

Hull- Raptor tub, SAW front sponsons, no rears.

Motor- TP3650 2Y 3080kV

ESC- Castle Creations Edge Lite 200 with added cooling tubes and conformal coating.

Batteries- Dinogy Graphene (4S2P 3300's).

Prop- ABC 1823-19-38(2)cll S/B (snowman prep

).

Driveline- .150 double square cable with teflon liner into Hyperformance outboard stub shaft.

We don't do this stuff in a vacuum. Thanks to my friends for all the help and brain storm sessions over the years: Mark, Darin, Tyler, Jim, Joe. In other words, the usual suspects! We're not done yet.

Finally, here's the reason for posting the info: It's essentially an off the shelf system. It's proof of what can be done with the incredible equipment that's available to all of us. It's also a reminder how careful we all need to be with how and where we run these things, be safe. Last but not least, it's a starting point and an invite to anyone who might be interested in joining us at time trial events. These events are great fun both on and off the water.

Good for you!

As always; GREAT JOB Brian! And a big THANK YOU for all of the personal help you've given me in recent years. Posting your setup (and cautions) just goes to show what kind of asset you are to the hobby. The same goes for your other boating buddies too. I have learned much from Tyler and Darin as well.

Later,

Ball

I'd post my 1-Cell setup, but who the HECK in their right mind would want to run a 1-Cell setup!??

And, unfortunately, most of the parts are NOT off the shelf.
