My last project of the winter is just about complete. Awaiting servo's and a switch and she will be ready to hit the water. Hull by Ralph. Motor is a Zen 29.5 prepared by Lamar Huff. Zippkits pipe and Klasskote clear and color. This is my third gas build and first gas rigger. Thanks to Ralp and my D12 homies Mr Ferrette and Finch for set up info. I'll be looking forward to chasing John around the pond in three weeks!!

I'm tired or building and ready to get some boats wet!!

Thanks guys. I have allot of repect for you all and it means allot. We'll see how she runs in a few weeks.

Tom I purchased the washers on ebay. They don't weight too much. I did do a little fabrication on the turn fin brace and exhaust bracket. I was really suprised how heavy 6061 aluminum is.

Bob, I was told to contact Bob Austin for a prop. For now I have a Chris Hoffman (dasboata) 2818 on her which I understand is a good generic gas rigger prop. I got the prop with a used rigger I purchased last fall so I'll give her a shot.

Hi Mike,

Looks great I'll bet it's fast. Can you share what props

Bob,

You are always asking that same question. 2818 to 2918 will get you 75 to 80 mph. Anything else is just too fast to drive or just slow enough to get run over. LOL

So guys, what are good base needle settings for the 1048? I did a search on Jim's and found a few threads but the numbers are all over the place.
