1/16 ply deck skin on, a little more sanding and then the mahogany veneer

Looking very nice....so..the mahogany veneer is just glued over top the 1/16" decking..?

Yes, I am going to epoxy it to the ply and then glass the whole deck with very fine fiberglass cloth, it’s almost like silk. With Totalboat penetrating epoxy. That’s what I use for sealing also.

Right now the weight is 4# 10 oz.

Ok....so were talking like .75oz stuff...I was glassing wings and fuselage with the fine stuff...will the decking have the gaps and metal between them like the old style boats from way back..either way its going to look awesome ..

No gaps or strips, just full mahogany.

Robert, Theboat has been sealed and right now I am building the deck hatch and boat stand.
I have all the hardware, engine and exhaust. Just need to rig it out. I have decided against the veneer deck and am going to paint it. I have been out of town a lot and am trying to get it finished for the Voodoo race next month.
