And the Tidewater square bore barrel adds approx. 20% more air flow, drill the spray bar a bit- more power!

Chris, I'm on the fence with selling it... it should make a great Scale engine.... they're a torque monster.
If I keep it, we'll start at 190 on Ex., haven't measured transfer/boost or rotor yet, but we've a good idea where to start. Sleeve's going to need cutting and beveled at bottom, and some other flow enhancements.
Your dad told me what a powerhouse yours was.
There's single plug buttons available out there, too.
Thanks!

i would keep it. run that thing till the piston and sleeve are junk. It will compete with any motor out there today.. make sure the disc rotor is lapped flat and backplate is .008-.010 clearance.. and yes square out the carb inlet.. also clean up the exhaust caseing port. and a single plug head works just fine

I've got it set at .005" now with no
Interference....just removed the gasket and used Yamabond. The OEM clearance was .012".
Yes, we debur and polish the exhaust duct on all of our engines, making sure the transition into header is perfectly seamless.
Have to find an end mill bit small enough diameter to mill out integrated carb on rotor cover for Tidewater sq. bore barrel, too.

I have lots of parts for this engine. Cranks, p/sleeves (got a match set that Steve wood did) rods, both style head buttons & a complete rtr engine that Steve setup. But no extra disk rotors. 1 extra used motor (but have parts to rebuild) if anyone interested

Hi Alan,
I have two of these motors for my rigger and I love them. It runs so reliably it's unreal. I do need a low end needle, crankcase gaskets, head shims (I will never touch salt water again) head button, carb barrel retainer screw. Trying to make sure i can keep going for a while with my son until i have to upgrade to the new motors, eventually but not right now. I dont want to really buy a whole new "old school Evo" for the price of a newer model when parts are harder and harder to find for them. Heck send me a list of what you have and your asking price if you don't mind.
Thank you.
