So far we have run it with the K&B disc and drum system. Next test will be with a MAC 21 drum system installed.
Andy, just curious, did you see any [noticeable] performance difference between the K&B disc and the K&B drum configurations? Is the K&B drum bushed?
David,

The stock disc valve with the stock red carb launched easier than the drum, but the drum was modified and used a much larger MAC 45 carb. We did not get test time to check the power difference between the two. The K&B drum is bushed, but the drum is far out of balance and little can be done to get it even close.

Looks cool , how much tub offset . I was too busy thrashing at the race to notice !!

Tom,

The tub is narrowed 1/4" and the sponsons are narrowed about 3/4" from the inside. The total outside to outside dimension is the same as the previous SGX boat. It is the narrowed tub and sponsons that make the boat appear to have a much wider footprint. And it is about 1.5" wider between the sponsons, but no wider over all. That helps keep it FAST!

It is about 1.5" longer than than previous versions. Lower profile tub and sponsons too. Solid carbon booms are .312" O.D. The tub is set higher off the surface.
