Thanks Walt! I was leery about driving up there but more worried about the drive home. The roads down here are snow covered ice tonight. I got out only once today and had to put the truck in 4WD.

I expected the site to need some clean-up as it was kind of trashed when I was up there last time including a dead deer. I know the spot where you took the shots on the east side as we were there also. That path to the lake where you took the shots at is really steep. That mound of gravel should be right down there.

If any more meetings come up I'll try to get up that way. If I run into Butch soon I'll try to get some contact info from him.

Ron,

I didn't see any mounds of gravel. It must be gone,or I was shivering too much to notice it. It was COLD..........

The site will need some clean up and you're right,it is really steep there. But that's what we have to work with.

Those pics were from behind the club building, you can see the outside dirt track there.

The pond is nice, the surroundings leave alot to be desired.

If anything else comes up,I'll keep you posted.

Thanks.

The pile of gravel was right at the bottom of the path on the Sanford Drive side and I didn't see it either in your shots.

When we went there around 2 years ago (maybe more) the weather looked almost identical as it was a cold overcast day. I've been looking for my shots but deleted one not too long ago from my IW Gallery and the others were lost in a 'puter crash.

Hi guys it been away'll sence I've been on here but I see your talking about the little lake by dry land marina . Well I have talked to them they are open every day after 5:00 I thinkuntil like 9:00 they are running the track like a busness. They have a web page on there flier it is www.BattleFrontGaming.com

Ron this is a different guy then the one we talked to as he lost the building and is running cars at Rogers plaza but back to the pond when I talked to them they had an idea of hopfully finding a club to run the pond as they don't know to much about the boats I made anoffer to bring some stuff down but put it on back burnner for winter but know that it's spring maybe I should get with them again as he told me they would try and sell my stuff for me if the boats got going.

If you do get ahold of them John is the dad and Jason is his sonthis is who I talked to

Scott, good to see you online again! I haven't heard from you since you moved and have been wondering how you've been doing. Once we get the site going you and the family are more than welcome to stop by at any time. Stop back in once in a while even if it's just to shoot the breeze.

Hi Scott,

We've been working with John from the club trying to get things rolling.

John is Tdevil here on IW.

We've formed a club (Southwest Michigan model Boat Club)that's registered with the IMPBA so we can get the Sanford lake site insured if all goes well.

I'm looking forward to meeting you and hopefully see you there.

Walt
