Mic also builds a mean FE Tunnel. :) I would bust your chops for not doing one yet but I know you're already busy with another project I bestowed upon you. LOL We're going to be shredding some water at the Capitol Pond this year.

Another thing on these trailers. When installing racks and shelves on the bulkheads, Whats the propper way of attachement? Predrill and install a hefty, short sheet metal screw through interior side of the box frame ribs??

I ordered one of these from a gentleman on the gas board.

I bought the 3 boat rack from him this past summer. I bought just about everything that didn't come with the kit from Menards. The wood is just some 1" X 4"'s which is 1/4" shy on bothe measurements so it worked perfectly. 3/4" electrical conduit to hang it the rack. Conduit straps. From there you can place your upright boards either inside or outside of the racks to keep them from sliding on the wall.

Lastly, one very important piece of advice. Do not sit the rack on the ground or floor with the boats on as it will break! It's not made to be used like that.

As you can see, it should be sitting on the floor but I raised mine up so I had room for the 'rigger.

Thanks Ron. Good info. So did you just screw the 1x4's into the frame ribs or should they be through bolted to the exterior??

I just used wood screws to attach everything to the wall. The panelling on mine is kind of thin and I found out during a test drive to a local lake that it wouldn't hold up without using a lot of them. Other than that, it's held up well so far for a long drive. By a lot, I'm typing about 8 or more per slat.

Mine got stained with a light pecan which didn't look too bad, not too light or dark for me. Have fun with the pool noodles using the same color or changing them up to match the boat that goes on every spot. For one of the Cat's I had to go with a larger outside diameter pool noodle that I think that I found at Wal-mart as the sponsons hit the arms.
