Make it as simple as you can: 1 engine per drive and you don't have to worry on cases breaking, losses in gearboxes etc. The speed of these hulls with drives aren't lightspeed: they just look cool and that is what you should expect of it cool looks, but don't count on speed: I see in the powerboat meeting in Heilbronn every year that a single engine mono set-up for heat racing will outrun these kind of set-ups..
