Thank you all for your prayers.
I can never put it into words my graditude to see how many of you guys and girls kept me in your thoughts and prayers. It is knowing that so many of you truely care about me that helps me recover so fast. I am on postop day 2 and feel like I have been run over by a few of the boats. But I think I passed that little test that the good Lord threw my way. Doctor said that will be my last surgery so I am now ready to move on to a new chapter in my life. We all need to continue to support any event that helps look for a cure for this type of cancer or any other types. I will keep all your loved ones in my prayers now so they can move on to a semi normal life too... I will be making a few more pink ribbons and take them to the races we attend so you can put them on your boats(or I can send them to you.) It puts a smile on my face to see all of you with them on your boats...THANKS again and I love each and every one of you. It was the "RC boating family" that kept me going when I needed that extra energy. God Bless you all...jj
PS - Please have your loved one get yearly check up's so if something turns up they can start treatment right away.
Jeni,
my mom told me once........someone-maybe God- had made a road for each and everyone. We have to follow that road. Some roads are in a flat country, others are going into the hills, a few go into the mountains. And as we know, a road in the mountain is more challenging and more or less more dangerous that the other one. But he, its one direction lane and we need to go on. ALong the road there is many things to look for. Look at it, take the time....... It all means some people have it the easy way, others are having a more tough time, for what ever reason. But along the road there are people helping you, taking care of you and the view from the top of a mountain, well there it all comes to a point where you know what it feels like when you have won a battle. With the help of friends, loved ones etc.
Then there is this story I got from one of my friends.
Teacher in a classroom. In front of him a big glass, lets say the size of a bucket. He filled this glass with golfballs. Asked the kids: is this glass full? the kids answered yes.
Then the teacher grabbed some smaller marbles/beads ( ? ) and he put them in the glass, shaked it a little and the result: they were falling in between the golfballs.
Is the glass now full he asked? Kids said: yes.
The he took sand and put it in as well. The sand was filling the empty spaces quite well. Again the same question, with same answer. The h took a glass of red wine and poured it in the "full" glass.
The story behind the glass.........The glass is your live. and its filled with important things-the golfballs-family, kids, health. If there was nothing else in this wolrd, your live would still be full. The marbles are the other important things in live, like a home, job and a car. The sand are the other things in live, just to make it more complete.
If you fill the glass, with sand first, then there is no room for the marbles and the golfballs. If you put your energy into the sand then there is no room for the real important things in life. Take care of the big ones, health checkups, enjoy the family life. Take time for and with your partner.
What about the red wine? No matter how important the bigger things are, there is always room left to have a drink with your friends.............
I hope you can understand what I am trying to say here. Your friends here on this forum are really the ones you can have a drink with. They are there to support you in any way they can.
The rest has to be done by yourself. You can do it, you know it.
Go Jeni go......
Take good care of yourself and the sun will always shine.
Ronald.
