I will have the DVR set to record it. I didnt figure they would get the race in today, too much rain.

Could see that coming, look on the bright side Norm, get to watch the race without all the promos and most everybody else has to go to work. ZING :p
YES.. that is the positive.. Except... it is going to rain tommorow per the weather know it alls in here in Florida.. Non the worst the recorded version will be easier to stomach..

They should have ran in the rain.... :)

hell yeah, norm. they have rain tires for the road courses, turn 'em loose on the high banks    . first drag race my dad took me to in fla. (somewhere in the '50's), gartlits was still flat towing his dragster. unhook the tow bar, change the tires & run it. open face helmet, goggles & a t-shirt - in a front engined rail!!! what humble beginnings most of these these legends came from. i also remember seeing the allisons flat tow to some dirts tracks in opa locka & hialeah, in the same time period.

Going though Garlits museum I noticed some of that stuff.... Front engine cars with a hunk of wood for a seat etc etc. chute cable ran up behind the "seat bucket" to the roll cage, (overhead activation, just reach up and pull). No restraints on blowers etc etc...

Looks like rain is coming across the state this morning.... GET out the rain tires!!!!
