After the G-kids LL baseball game we stopped at a BBQ place to pig out....watched the last 35-40 laps of the race.....didnt see where anything has changed....cars crashing all over the track...piggy back garbage..smoke got taken out...didnt even really know who won....very little racing...just crashing.....was the earlier part of the race any better? Guess im just kinda over the NASCAR thing....I hope the other part of the race was better for the die hard fans...they desrve better than the part I saw!

Not like the good old days for sure.. What is up the the drivers standing behind the glass window to interact with fans? I never got that.. I see kids at NHRA events getting pictures with drivers, etc etc. How do they do that in NASCAR?

Norm, I went to the Gatornationals years ago and Loved being able to walk in the pits and talk to the drivers, etc....I remember John Force just shootin the bull with everybody, and yukin it up...cant say the same for Kenny Bernstien though......the National Motocross races were like that also...just walk through the pits and respect the banners.....most of the best riders in the nation, sometimes the World would gladly shoot the breeze if they had the time to....oh, and i remember BIG lighting off his fueler in the pits one time...no mask, no goggles, no ear plugs or muffs....just a big SMILE! My eyes however had tears pourin down em and when he snapped the throttle (loved that part!) my ears rang for an hour!! :lol:

If you watched closely she was tapped by the 88 car, she will learn, and be as good as the BIg guys and learn how to not over correct at 190+ MPH, there is no "buggering" in the open wheel racing.

Every open wheel driver that switched to "Nascar" has had problems and none have come up as fast as Danica other than Pablo Montoya.

Yup.. Force would even show up at a few watering holes and tell stories. Kenny never seemed to hang out with the common folks :0 Nothing like watching Big Daddy work..

Snobbiest one I've seen was Prudhomme, bad attitude and thinking that he was all that. Garlits would talk to you like he's known you forever.

Gotta root for the RC boaters starting side-by-side today. Martin and Aric. If Martin can stay out of a big one he should finish near the top as he's been running good all week. OK, Smoke is an RC'er too and owns an RC car company.
