Three records have fallen at the NAMBA Straighaway Trails in Los Angeles:

A (.21) Hydro: Mark Grim moves up his own record from 107.29 to over 110 mph

B (.45) Hydro: Mark bumps another of his records from 110.51 to over 112 mph

X Hydro: Mark takes back this record from his teammate Scott Bouche moving the record from 120.32 to a high 122 mph two way average with one way over 123 mph.

The wind is down and the water is flat as of 11:40 local time. More updates later.

Would you believe that the A hydro record was in the 90s only a few years ago? As far as I know, 122 is the fastest internal combustion engine record in the world. Very impressive.

Wow, BIG numbers, congrats to Mark. B)

Lohring I believe the best official IC recorded one way pass was by Andy B. @ over 125. ;)

Don & Loring,

Andy's 125mph pass was surpassed by Chris Grim with a pass of 127mph & a two way record of over 124mph with his "C" (67) hydro..........

Don :)

On the FE front:

Brian Buaas set a NAMBA record of 111 in P-hydro.

Bill Malvey set a NAMBA record of 76.95 in T-Offshore

Bill Malvey established a NAMBA S-Offshore mark of 61.31 mph running the 700 Kv Sniper on 8S (same boat as his T-Offshore boat, I believe)

Brian was trying to put his 30" Whiplash over 100 for P-Sport when the rudder failed at a reported 105mph, resulting in a crash that destroyed the boat... He got all the gear back in good shape, however, so you know he'll be back.

Bill Oxidean nabbed a couple of records in the lower voltage classes, but I'll have to update this when I get the details.

Sounds like a fun time was had by all.

GREAT Job to all the Nitro and FE guys out there. Keep up the great work! You guys help to keep this hobby exciting!

Got home late last night. It's worth every bit of the drive.

Just a great group of people run with. Nitro, gas, electrons-it doesn't matter as long as it's fast.

Mark & Chris, thanks for all the help. It's so much easier when it's not going down hill!!!
