Count me in next year for sure. I have a sister who lives in Cleveland Heights-so easy place to stay overnight.

Unfortunatey this year a planned trip was already on the schedule the same weekend as CAFE. :(

I love the big course so much easier to drive and you actually can go straight not a big circle like on our course now.

I saw you guys run the 8th scales on the big course Saturday at the Indy Masters race. That was about as close to realism as its gets!

Yeah,I must agree that after running at the IMPBA nitro course,Im sold and prefer it.Just like Kelly said you can actually come out of a corner and drive a starit line.

Regardless of what any one says,I ran unmatched 3700 on 32 cells in a Team Believer for 8 laps on that course.

I am NOT however saying to change the presant course but vote in a larger course as well. There by not effecting the clubs that have smaller lakes,4 cvell and stock boats can run less laps. This should please everyone..........Shouldnt it ??

Hey Guys,

Bigger is better. We need the 225 foot straights and 35 foot turns at a minimum. I'll tell you what, if we can't come to some kind of longer course rule my attendance will change. For example Club A says "hey we'll run the 1/8th mile course at our race" and I'm there. Club B says "naw, we don't need a bigger course and won't be running one" I'll find a nitro race to attend and run my FE boats there.

As far as the N1 boats go, you may say it's the biggest class in your club but it's not what brings racers in from all over the country to your race. It's getting really fast really quick, if we don't do something the face of NAMBA FE racing will change. Mark my words. IMPBA has welcomed us with open arms, they really want to make FE boaters part of their big picture. I will be supporting IMPBA more and more, I see it coming because their way more open to suggestions than NAMBA.

I had a nitro guy come up to me this past weekend, he flat out said FE is the future from what he witnessed.

Paul.

I agree with everything your saying here...but, without small classes, it will not grow in the future. I still hope that we have some small courses as well in the future. I would not expect people to build a 20-32 cell boat their first boat out. You certianly did not.

thanks,

Steve

Hi Steve,

There's no reason for the N1 boats to not be able to run. Even if they needed a bit smaller course. Easy to setup on a larger course, maybe a tri-oval in the bigger course?

Paul.

Good suggestion.....1/8th may be okay, 1/6th is out of the question for small classes. It's very difficult to run N-1 at a 1/6th time trial.
