Just thought I would post some pics of my build. I am running a Neu 1521 1Y on 6s2p Flightpower cells. So far I am running 58.6mph in oval trim on a m447 prop with temps under 130*.

Here are some Pics of my FE Sport 40 Sport Hydro. I know some guys don't like the color scheme but its not their boat anyway ;)

Nice looking boat Ray!Nice speed same as a nitro engine.Whats the little mono about?

Ray

Your boat look fantastic! I'm putting one together right now and it looks alot like the first pics you posted! Mine will only have a battery for the reciever though, power will be CMB /purple cam.

I think it is an awesome boat and you are pushing 60 on an oval trim?!

That is quite fast man! Oh yeah, it is a CLEAN setup too.

Don't worry about the people that don't like your color scheme,

personal taste is not arguable.

Well not quite 60 yet but I am shooting for it soon.

Raydee,

How do you seal up the boat so you don't fry everything in the event of a blow over or if someone squeezes you into a buoy?

The whole entire hatch gets taped down. I have had boats upside down for a while and they always come out dry inside. IF I hit a buoy or another boat and there is a hole in the boat them everything gets wet. The shrink wrap gets pulled off the ESC and cells and everything gets dried out.

Very nice set up. I'm thinking I may try to put together a FE soon. I ran my SS45 today and it's such a hassel to lug gallons of fuel and starters and glow ignitors. Then it seems to run different every time i take it out. Today I ran 20% and it was running almost as good as with my usual 50%. FE seems like it would be more consistant. I do love my SS45. it rides nice and handles like it's on rails. As along as the CG is set right that hull will fly. Today as I was bringing it in I cut the trottle and hit a hard left. The boat flew out of the water angledd to the left then in mid air straightened out and landed softly in the water. I think that's a sign of a wild driver and a perfectly balanced and aerodynamic hull. Nice boat bro! You'll be hittin 60 in no time. Mine runs in the 55-60 range. I think with FE you can push for more. Nice work!

I forgot to mention...... I'm running an Andy Brown CMDi 5083/3-A CNC'd prop with great results. If you don't want to overlaod your motor maybe try a 4773/3-A. I ran both today with great results. I was running a two blade and the switch over to three blade made the bow hop in the straights. A little adjustment to the strut angle solved that. I was running 55-57mph with no blow overs.
