hello guyz, hope everybody had a great weeknd. i have a 40 inch prather with a K&B .67 inboard, prather 245 prop, and she is so freakn fast. iv tried adding weight, moviening the prop to neg, strut down, and she still goes so freakn fast. the straight away speed is so great but the turn is were she gets all flipped out  . any help would be great. thank you. B)

BILLY ITS REALLY TOO MUCH ENGINE FOR THAT HULL I HAVE LEARNED THAT OVER THE YEARS WITH THAT HULL THE .45 ENGINE IS BEST SUITED FOR IT BUT IF YOUR GOING TO KEEP THE .67 IN IT GET WITH LENNY AT RUM RACING PRODUCTS AND GET ONE OF HIS LARGE TURN FINS AND PUT IT ON ALSO TRY RUNNING AN OCTURA X455 3 BLADE PROP WITH THE TIPS CUPPED A TAD

by cupping the ears on the prop will it slow it down some. do i take off the 2 small turn fins and put 2 bigger ones on? let me know and thanks for the help

yes sir i do. i just have the stock one that came with the kit. would bigger trim tabs work better?

Owned that boat in the early 80's, 2 much motor period! That hull has was too much lift and is too light to ever handle a 67 engine at full throttle. Do your self a favor, if you like the boat and want to keep it upright go to a mild 45 say a k&b 45 with a good tuned pipe and you will enjoy what the boat has to offer. You are asking it to do something it wasn't built to do.
