Hi All,

I'm working on my 1st RC Boat Project.
Got a fiber glass V hull from the Market Place for $50, figured get something cheap as a starting point.
Dimensions of the hull, 48" L x 14" W x 6" H, fiber glass thickness is 2.1mm.
Is this something good for a gas engine ?

At 48" it's a gasser for sure! Don't forget to install th stringers before you put the deck on.

How wide are the rails spaced apart in the boat now?
4" ? 5" ?

If 5" then it was definitely setup to be a gasser .

maybe add some plywood to build up the transom, looks a bit thin there, at 48'' a stock 26 zenoah would be a affordable, reliable power. zippkits has some decent hardware options

Thank you for all advises, I'm delaying this project a little bit since I'm focusing on building a Missile Thunderboat, will get this up and running later.
