Sorry guys made a mistake in the IMPBA proposal that has been locked on the degree position on 4 pole motors. The right numbers starting from 0 are peak pole position of A phase is at 120 electrical to a 60 degrees on the mechincal. B phase would be at 240 degrees electrical on the 120 degrees of mechincal. C phase would be 360 degrees electrical of 180 degrees mechincal. The electrical rotation is repeated one more time for the full 360 mechincal rotation. Sorry again it is hard to keep the electrical degrees from mixing up with the mechincal degrees when working the numbers.

Mark your 8 Awg amp rating is way out dated sorry , Fusing current for 8 awg is 472 amps , a long way from 40 amps you claimed max and certainly able to carry the amps the FE crowd claim , 8 awg wire ratings are all over the board all the way up to 100 amps depending on apps , I wish you would have a more open mind with FE output , you have pretty much convinced yourself what our maxes are on industry standards , you can run 40 amps on 16awg and still be 1/3 of the fusing amps

I should not even reply to this one. The statement you made about 472 amps is a very bold. If I put 472 continuous amps on a piece of number 8 it would be a fuse. It may last 3 seconds. And I don't have a closed mind either about FE. The amps you are refering to are what we call peak current @ 90 degrees of sine. Now the continuous amps of what you quoted would be about 70 amps which is still to high but will work for a short period of time and will build heat.
 
You know guys, I have been working on motors and controls for many, many years. I have a good working knowledge of the theory of electrical currents moving thru a motor and what makes it turn on all types of motors. Do you all think that your motors are any more special or work any different than any other motors? If you do then I can't help you. But if you don't then all you have to do is ask and I will try to give and help you with the information. I have help a few people the past few months that have contacted me directly and they are making leaps on how their boats are running now. I help Tommy Lee many years ago set the records that he did in the electric classes. What did I do nothing, but what Tommy did was come to my shop asking the questions or what to do to stop this problem and listening to me when I gave him the answers or the materials to fix the problem. He did the rest of the work. My door as aways been open for him and still is or for anyone else that want to ask. I see him every few months when he has some project at home that he is working on. He does not do well these days and can't get out much but I always enjoy seeing him.
