Just got a traxxas 3.3 jato

Ordered extra senors for my boat to use rpm speed an temp

Ill use the traxxas rx tx blue tooth to my phone For data only.

An my futaba to control boat

Ken I just bought the Hitec Lynx 4 s radio. It is capable of giving real time GPS speed, temp, and rpm. So far just using the speed. Very nice radio. I plan on using the temp and rpm eventually.

i have the Lynx

there is no way you can race and use the telemetry things happen too fast and you cannot look down at the screen but your coach could look !

I use the GPS speed mostly for practice runs and don't need a radar gun it leaves a max speed on the screen

I bought the optical sensor for RPM but it doesn't work with a cowl over the motor, because it is dark inside

Temp sensor works great. but again you can't look down to read it

There is no ability to log data yet that would be awesome if they get it

talked to the tech at Hitec he doesn't expect that anytime soon

Radio works fine, but has fewer adjustment controls than my futabas

The idea isn't to look at the speed while racing. But while testing the temp could save a motor. The GPS is definitely viewable while running.

The only speed relivance while racing is the boats in the heat. But learning the potential is greatly increased with data.

Not sure what adjustments a futaba had that the hitech doesn't.

its very accurate i took it for a car ride and it was right on and I radar checked my boat and it was right w the GPS too

Danny, set the temp for a warning at a temp max that you don't want to get higher than

the radio doesn't have sub trim

I had a receiver that died when it got wet after it dried it would not link

sent it back and they fixed it, but it doesn't have the range it had before.. so its in a box now and i got a new one

yes GPS is viewable, but its still dangerous to take your eye off of a 60 mph boat
