TCMBC Hope you guys have a good turnout and the weather looks perfect. In the FYI department you guys are carrying a tradition with a State Championship race. 29 years and running since starting in 1984. ( I have a plaque from that first race) That's a pretty remarkable legacy you all can be proud to keep going.

Mic
Thanks, Mic. I did not know that. That means next year will be the 30th! I will have to put my Advertising Art and Design degree to use and make up some sweet looking T shirts for the 30th Anniversary of the TCMBC State Champs.

And your old 2.5 outboard is still hanging off the back of our retrieve boat!

Mic, you should drive up just for old times...

Bob, That would be cool. Maybe too cool as I seem to remember Oct. in MN can be frosty. I have been wanting to make it to Hobart also. I'll have to talk to Nub as he's on the way so to speak. Wonder what Witham is up to? Worst case Tim can put me down for a couple T-shirts.

Mic

Mic, last time you were here you cleaned or clocks. It was about 4 yrs ago I believe. I won't have any shirts until next yr. Gotta ha e them for the 30th annual! I will be more than happy to send you some! If you don't make it.

Bring your wife with Eric, then she can't get mad and throw you out in the street for missing the Oktoberfest parade, if she misses it too! ;)
Yeah, cause she just loves watching toy boats go in circles. She has made it very clear she would rather get a colonic.

Weather looks much more promising on Sunday.... 40% chance of storms on Saturday.

It's a BIG one!!! OK guys, the MN State Champs will have 20+ racers and over 60 boats (not everyone signed up on site, I've talked with others that are not signed up yet). With that being said, I've tried my best to make the order in which we will run.

A Hydro

P LTD Mono

B Mono

B Hydro

P LTD Sport 20

D Hydro

D Tunnel

Sport 20

E/F Hydro

Sport Tunnel

P LTD Tunnel

B Tunnel

LSG Open

While making this I had to take into consideration some racers are racing 5 boats! I did my best so they can have a break between heats.

Wussies - Used to run all the time in the MN wet, cold and windy weather. Thought that was part of the fun. :)

We'll see you Sunday. Actually I am still hoping to get a few practice runs in Saturday afternoon.

I gota say.. Im very surprised by the date change.. So glad I did not plan to make the trip.

With a sanctioned race.. can one change the date on the fly like that?

Grim

Grim, its not like I just got a wild hair up my butt and decided to change it. I have had many calls/emails since Monday (when the weather forecast was 60% chance of rain for race day). As the week progressed so did the chance of rain for race day (100% from 11am-1pm). With rain predictions from 8am-3pm). I know you can't race in rain/thunderstorms. So that makes for two choices, cancellation or a date change. Sorry we opted for the date change.
