MN State Championship & Points Race #5

The Twin Cities Model Boat Club will be hosting the MN State Championship on Saturday, September 28th. All IMPBA classes offered with a three boat minimum. Nitro, Gas, and Fast Electric. For more information, check out our website at tcmbc.org

All winners from last year are strongly encouraged to attend (especially if your from Iowa) as many TCMBC members have been waiting all summer for a rematch. The word "chicken" has even been used.

Woo Hoo! Here we go! The Tri State Border Battle, AKA The Minnesota State Championships. This is an IMPBA sanctioned event. I'm in for B Tunnel, D Tunnel, and F hydro. I may run a fourth class but haven't narrowed down which one yet, My tunnels are dialed and ready to rock, but my E hydro has been finicky and barely leaves the dock. It's down to the wire and we'll soon be on the clock, time to pull the big guns and take my best shot.

Unfortunately I can not make it. The race is the same day as the Oktoberfest parade in La Crosse. I could probably make it if someone has a place I can move into and a job for me after my wife kicks me out........

Idling around for points won't gain you any podium finishes this year, you're going to have to race your boats to win.

Ole and Lena bought 'dem some nitro, 'an went down to da crick, 'an... I aint got any... yeah, i do want to race.... and im workin very hard to ready something... I had 2 boats destroyed mid season, and I'm intensely making repairs.... Greg no offense taken brother... Mn boys got game.... I'm just not hauling boats up there i been gettin my ass kicked with around the circuit.... if, at all I show race ready testing here, ill be there.... for all those DD fans please go to the Zaborowski's face book dealy, as youll see... he's happy happy happy.... test 'em up men... Mike

Leme see, Zero starts, zero points. in four heats with the E hydro, 3 starts in 3 heats and 275 points with the D hydro 3 starts in 3 heats with the B Tunnel, no dnf's 2nd place finish in round 4. Points aren't posted yet.3 starts in 6 heats with the D tunnel, faulty prop shaft used in the 3 no starts was recalled by technology hobbies. 1 heat win, with replaced shaft. 1dnf when my pipe came off. points not posted yet. What's a DD?

TCMBC Hope you guys have a good turnout and the weather looks perfect. In the FYI department you guys are carrying a tradition with a State Championship race. 29 years and running since starting in 1984. ( I have a plaque from that first race) That's a pretty remarkable legacy you all can be proud to keep going.

Thanks, Mic. I did not know that. That means next year will be the 30th! I will have to put my Advertising Art and Design degree to use and make up some sweet looking T shirts for the 30th Anniversary of the TCMBC State Champs.
