What are the prices?
Mike do you have a link to the roster? i remember seeing one a while back but cant find it now.. just wanting to see what hull makes what?
Is this exactly the same hull as the predecessor to the turbine Oberto, i.e the one with the Piston engine and the drivers capsule? (I know it has the same MHR number but not sure whether there were changes between versions.)MHR 8200, "137" laser framing kit is now done. This makes hulls like the '82 Atlas and '90 turbine Oberto. This hull also has the Weiblehaus sponson mod upgrade. Mike

The Master Hull Roster details any changes to the hull over the years (sponson changes, width changes, etc). http://www.rcunlimiteds.org/webpages/downloads/MasterHullRoster1.pdf
For 8200, the right sponson width was changed in 1988 (by 1 foot). The boat ran as the Oh Boy Oberto (with capsule) in 1988-89. It was changed to a turbine in 1990. They added Jones sponsons (one larger than the other) in 1992. It all depends on how accurate you want to be. One foot in 1/8th scale might still fall within the 10% rule. But greater minds than mine can tell you how that works.
Hope that helps,
Rick
Thanks for your help guys.
Mike I've sent you a PM.
Cheers
Bob
This is a very good point as the Jones sponsons are very different from the earlier ones like Lucero and others did. Besides being non symmetrical (one wider than the other) they also feature noticeably rounded outside corners that are quite different as well...... HOWEVER, not having the proper sponsons on the 92 and later boats would be very noticable and could be deemed illegal even though the hull width would still fall within the post 91 legal limits with the non-Jones sponsons used.
