Hey Ted, Big Bryon, and Bill Wachler attend many of the TC races, and both live in Wisconsin. If the Iowa gang venture North more than once a year that would be plenty of boats for a tri state border battle,in about four different classes that regularly run at TCMBC. Wind is rarely a factor at Nicols with the 30 + foot tall wind break provided by Highway 77, but the weeds usually are and I don't have a key to test there. Go try and run one of your 20 boats on Centerville Lake today in the white caps.

Sorry Larry, I never run on Lakes - with other people or pleasure craft on them. I just talked to my Step-daughter and she was just by Centerville lake and she said that there was barely a ripple. Anyways, these classes your talking about, I can only give your 3 that continuously make 3 boats all year: B Mono - B sport Tunnel & B mod Tunnel. The others - like yesterday were with the Tri-state guys(Except Big B.) barely made classes.. B) At least the classes I was in.

Maybe she was drinking Ripple. I grew up on Centerville Lake. With 15 mph winds gusting to 20 out of the SSE The North side of the lake where I lived and still have access to will have two foot waves and white caps. :D The boys from Iowa and Wisconsin race tunnels in both those classes and also Sport 20 hydro which made class at all but the September point race. Plus me and you and a dog named boo we should be good to go for 20 hydro also.

I don't run on lakes anywhere near open beaches or where people are out in the water.

since this is under the topic of races and results. I will take it upon myself to let everyone know how Team Leyde did.

Mark Leyde (lights) 1st B Mod Tunnel (vision/GO)

Mitch Leyde 3rd B Mono (speedmaster/GO)

Tim Leyde 1st B Sport Tunnel (Cobra/OS)

1st Sport 20 Hydro ( PT/ Nova)

1st B Sport Kneeler (JD/ OS)

Mark is really behind both myself and his son. He's the anchor of the operation. We couldn't do it without him. Thanks Bro.

Intensively, Mark should easily gain the Twin cities sportsman award..... and if there aint one, make one..... the list of his efforts in the spirit of the sport is intense.....forest throught the trees, the realization that waning interest in boating, and goal one of new additions, more boats, and more classes, equals club gain, competitive racing and more fun for all.... he made it happen for the kids/new boaters this race, big time, opened his home to the Iowa contingent yet again, handled the entries race day, right down to making sure the pond had new bouys( Tim) out to race around....... busy as all get out, the boats still went around, and he brought a win in mod tunnel home...... let him sleep will ya?...... Ted... keep your boat testing, i'll fully intend to bring a better mousetrap next year..... along with at least one more entry in 20 hydro it'll make...... hear tell Mark might dial one up...... if I have to give him one...... I had, some of the best competitive heats i'd ever experienced in any class, hands down...... got beat on the water and not the bench...... which i'd much rather see. It's done for another season.... if you werent there, well, ya missed out... classes or not, something i'll bring'll make..... thanks for a great pinnacle to the season Mn. racers...... tune 'traps. mike
