The weather couldn't have been better, the racing was intense and deck to deck in most of the classes. Congratulaions to all the winners...No matter how many borders they had to cross to get there. Hats off to my good friend Mike Larson, who focused his main attention to pitting and tuning for Adam Miers(spelling ?) Mike helped Adam all last winter building, and many weekends this summer setting up and testing Adams boats and coaching him on the drivers stand. This is the only race Adam was able to attend this season, and his first ever in 20 Hydro. Adam showed Mike...and the rest of us he was paying attention during those tutoring sessions with a 1st place finish in 20 Hydro and a second place finish in B Tunnel. After an intense keyboard racing shootout with myself over the past week Rodney Pierce's space bar went up in smoke, and he had to resort to racing his Go powered Phil Thomas hull on Sunday. The Sport 20 class had some of the most exciting deck to deck racing of the day, and after three intense heats of racing Rodney walked off the podium with the First place trophy...Go Go Gadget Go!

Larry, it was a pleasure getting to rib each other in person. Great to make a new friend pal! Ive got my spare keyboard fired up and rocking.... The winter will be here WAY too soon my friend.

Right back at ya' my friend! The smack talk will most likely intensify between us over the off season, and when we meet again at a race, I won't be there as just a spectator...You're on the clock! :p

Northern racers got game..... and they showed it, big time..... thanks TCMBC for a nice event..... Team Leyde for hosting us, serious recognition....... opening your home to "the children of the corn"...... gracious indeed......

LC.... gets the IRON MAN award, as clockin a 12, and co-CDing the race all day, thats dedication..... "hold your lanes, boys!"

Adam did work his way to the win..... never satisfied, and constant testing the summer away, he had the boat ready to go every heat...... freakin out on the stand, per first timer, he listened and followed intently..... goal achieved...... I'll mix it up next year..... and we'll be better..... ( I stunk up the place for the team a little)......

Missing half the team, was constantly in play, as, leaving contending sport and mod tunnel racers home, at the high level of competition there.... well..., next year..... wire 'em tight!

Please forward a well deserved COTC thank you to Rick. Out of his way to accomodate anything, AND a personal tour, he's one in a million with his life mission of radio controlled fun for all..... trophy to Rick.

Bill Wachtler and his son.... quiet and getting it done, again.... serious boat racers that set a good example.... fish for supper too! doesnt get any better.....

The last hurrah.... 'an we was wearing t shirts!..... thanks TCMBC, we'll be back up. Now, where's that snow shovel.... Mike

Rick is def one in a million! Guy is just unbelievable. Not enough people like him left in ANY hobby. And wont accept a dime from anyone, you cant give him money if you tried to stash it somewhere. UNREAL!

Thanks again guys and club!!!

sounds like a hell of a time guys! Nice win with the go21 PT Rodney! Cant wait go get my whip combo done!

All I ask (not mentioning any names) is that you start my tunnel in the right direction next time! This should not be a difficult task. For Christ sakes the plugs are even COLOR CODED.

I know you had your helmet on to tight AGAIN. :p

Tim,

If you jump on the Thunder Tiger bandwagon, Mark won't need to reverse your starter to start your tunnel.

Say, Who won the B Mod and B Sport tunnel classes? I didn't find that anywhere,,

dub
Hey Jerry, I know your probably hoping it was the TT, but Lance didn't place in the top 3. He was rippin in the 1st heat of Mod Tunnel and took 1st in that race, but decided to do changes during the race - which ended up making him do either Barrel-rolls/180 degree whips and such. :( He would of placed due to one of the IOWA guys blew a flex shaft 50ft. from the finish line - but he barrel-rolled  Hey Guys, I enjoyed you coming up to the Great North, Put on some good game.. Hope to see you again..

Hi Ted, Of course I always want to hear if some of my brain farts are doing well. Placing 1st in a multi club mod tunnel heat with that motor is quite a feat, on good water. Since the motor seems to be consistant it's just a matter of boat & driver improvements and that stuff will come with practice.

Thanks

Yep, The motor is consistant, and has proven that all year. Adding Lead to the front sponson's was definately detrimental after the first heat and shouldn't have been done on a "All important" race as that. Drastic changes to the Hull's attitude should not be attempted during times like these - but hey; I'm just sayin. <_< I think he's done with the Boat, and he's gonna donate it to me(Whether I want it or not) So, you'll probably be seeing me in "Tunnel" from here-on-out... I started in Tunnel when I was a kid - racing with Mic Halbrehder, So...... Look out!!!!

Maybe, you can hook-me-up with a New TT(Mod.) this time... Do they make Mod. TT's?
