Miller American cowls

I see two different cowls for the Miller American one style has the dog house with, out swept vents and other style with no dog house and it's angled vents and they're not out swept can anybody give me more information on which boat had what I know there's a u-00 and the U-1

Base hull is basically the same, pick a design you like, lmk
We can go back to 1984, for more detail on the fins, it changed alot

Interesting to see the early turbine days of development. It sure looks clunky compared to the sleekness of the present-day boats.

There was actually another cowl configuration that Joe didn't post. There was a more rounded version of scoop that was used with the Star Wars canopy that I saw today. Don Mock had the entire history line from 1977 through 1987 at the R/C hydroplane show today. Unfortunately, I forgot my camera so I didn't get any pictures

I'm going as a 1986 U-1, with the wide out swept cowl, this is where it's at currently
