Yea, right there on my bench, just needs back plate bolts and that happens monday, you will indeed have power by this weekend.

quick question for the microburst guys, i ran the boat today with no trim tabs and got mild porpoising in the straights, are trim tabs a must on these boats, or is my CG off?

Trim tabs don't hurt! Yeah, I had a .45 'burst, sold it a year ago to someone in Canada.

Was my old boat.I does need trim tabs. Its not setup the way the sheet said to do.The motor is mounted as far fordward as i could get it.I may still have the setup sheet will have to look for it.Will let you know.

Did you ever find that setup sheet? I put the tabs back on it, and shes just about ready for the water...again.

Tommy, I'm trying to remember the setup sheet. It seems like it was a one-pager that had been run through a mimeograph machine too many times. Hardly anything was legible on it. You're just better off using established settings from any mono.

I have looked but havent found it yet the only two things i changed was moving the motor as far forward as i could and moved the trim tabs outwards a 1/2 inch if i remember right. The boat would chine walk a little over 50 mph but it ran good.I have won alot of races with it when i ran it.I had it setup up loose then added weights to level it out.It had like 4 oz of weights on the nose.I bought the boat from Phil Thomas he had it setup by the sheet.I reworked it with Dick Jones to where it was set at when i sold it.I could race it any where and always placed in the top three. The trim tabs that were on it were the ones that Phil had on it there were long so i cut them back i also bent the corners down on the inside corner tips to help control the chine walk.
