Good news everyone,

For all of you that I have talked to and let know that I was slowly running out of stock on Sport fins. I am back in business. The new steel break is done. Bigger and badder than ever. This one will not fail anytime soon. I like it so much I think I going to make another one for the JAE style as well. Want to thank Kelly Gruol for the loan on a welder.

I also will be making some changes to the fins. I looking to go with 7075. I will be doing some strength comparison testing soon and I believe they can be made thinner. Well I know they can, question is how much and hold up to the load. We shall see. Thanks to all that have supported my hobby habbit and looking forward to the next 1K fins. BTW approaching the 1K real soon.

Mike

Be careful when you try to bend 7075. If you try to bend it in a T6 condition, you might break it. A good solution would be to bend and shape them in an annealed condition, then harden them after they are bent.

Just speaking from experience.

Oh Steve I had that learning curve when I started building the JAE fins. Got that master. I broke quite a few in the beginning. After I came up with a technique its not a problem now.
