To all RC boat racers,
For those that have enjoyed the Hobart Indy Masters last month and the just completed Fall Nationals in Charleston broadcasts provided by MeTime, now is the time to thank them for that effort. I watched closely the effort made by Doug and Kerri Carter and they are putting in very long days to provide coverage to those that could not attend. Their costs to provide the broadcasts are quite high. Just to recap some of the costs:
Travel expenses
Motel or lodging costs
Food expenses
Rental of airtime for VERY large bandwiths needed to broadcast
Very expensive digital cameras - multiples of them
Large server storage for race data
Maintenance costs
Many more I cannot even think of
MeTime NEEDS our help to continue with this excellent service to the RC boating community. Their costs are very high and income is extremely low. If we want to be blessed with this service, we must support them financially now. We can do that by the following:
1. Contribute funds to MeTime directly through their website at http://www.metimeliverc.com There is a DONATE button now on their home page and can use Paypal, credit cards, etc. Any amount will be acceptable but be generous as you can.
2. Purchase pictures of your boats running at the races. Use the website to make the purchase.
3. Advertise your products and/or services with them and have an ad posted on their home page. It could be tax deductible.
4. MeTime tee shirts, provided through Jeni Johnson, will be available for purchase very soon. All profits will be provided to MeTime. Watch for the announcement shortly.
5. If you invite them to broadcast your race, make sure their expenses are paid, at the very least the lodging. Host them with a club member or provide motel room for them. Food expenses covered will help greatly as well.
They have two major races coming up. The Gas Nats next month and the Winter Nats in late January. It is imperative that they get financial help to continue the broadcasts. Thank them now for providing this service for all of us.
