Hey Marty, like the big guy said, Make-A-Lane Racing will be there. I plan to get a couple boats wet then hang out with my circle of friends at the Super Duper 8, I can't wait!

Make A Lane.... thats serious funny...... The sanctioning body has voted... and..... conversely determined that, any current or previous US 1 racer will attach via a cable/cord, of 3 feet in length, one 7 5/8 x 2 1/4 x 3 5/8ths, masonry unit ( hereafter known as a brick), to the transom of his/her boat. Hereafter recognized as the "wait up a minute" device, it shall also be warranted to any tunnel style hull, that upon testing shows promise of stability, and heat racing speeds in excess of 40 mph.......

Scale class excluded, with bricks , accordingly. ( determined, that, concourse, would be offensive).

Also voted and passed on, being that any Eastern Iowa racer shall be allowed one half lap advancement in any said heat event before racing time commences..... ( allowance for the wait up a minute device to overtake).......

Masonry units and corresponding attachment will be provided for installation at the super 8 on friday evening before the event.

It think we should have a pretty good turnout this year....Lets hope the weather finally works out for us! I got 20 hydro, 1/8 Scale and possibly 40 hydro if it gets done..That Super 8 will be hopping as usual! Possibly some RC truck Aerobatics.....

Man that old parking lot party is indeed a blast!.. The first year the race was there we took up about one parking spot..now we take up about 8 of them.. lol

Last year we had cars flying off of buildings!.... TRUE!

Having said all that im sorry i can not make the race this year.. I will be racing in CO at the NAMBA FE nats.

We do have a few new boat racers from our club "The Red Stripe RC Power Boaters" attending so please make sure you show them what the party is like with or without me there.. In other words make sure they are HUNG OVER for racing on sunday! AND make sure you toss peanuts at everybody for me will ya!

We'll miss you this year, have fun in Colorado! In fact we just got back from a short break in the northern Rockies, you can't beat them, and our oldest daughter-husband-grandson Miles just moved to Denver.
