Hi Guy's,

Can you guys share some of the props you use on your B Hydro? I'm currently running an old SG 45 Rigger, newer stock Mac 45, parabolic pipe @ 8 3/4, 1460/2 modified by Andy Brown, and 50% Redmax. The boat runs consistant at 64 mph. Looking to get more juice out of here. Any help is greatly apreciated.

Thanks,

Richard Mancilla

Hey Richard you definitely should be fast than that. Did you drill out the baffle in the stinger end of the pipe yet?? Makes a big improvement on the MAC motors.

Hi Richard I have the SG (three sponsons) and let tell you my set up.

Mine have front sponsons angled at 3.3

strut 1.2

prop 1460 cup 4.3 and 1655 cup 4.5

pipe parabolic from 8 1/2 to 9" (standard stinger) depending on the prop.

fuel 60%

P45 EXR black head mod

Boat runs in the mid 70's in heat race so check out your set up once your baby can be lot of faster than this.

Keep all edges sharp in the running surfaces if the boat is painted to improve performance.Have seen lot of boats running under their potential due to the fact they have lot of painting in these areas.

Also verify how is the fin that ussually produce lot of drag in case of misaligment.

Good luck and hope this help you.

Gill

thanks don i did not know that. as for a prop try a 1657, 2118 or 2216 (abc). all stock.

Don, Yup the pipe is been drilled to macth the stinger.

Gil, I will try to check the sponsons set-up. How do you check the front sponsons setting?

Thank you all the reply guys.

Richard,

I use a digital level to set or check my sponson angles. One of the BEST TOOLS

you will ever buy for this Sport. A 1655 pitched up will work well or a 2116 pitched

up is really FAST. Really fast is in the high 70's to low 80's for heat racing BTW.

Thanks,

Hi Mark,

Where can I get one of this digital level? Do you have a pictures of one.

Do you have any of the props you mentioned in stock? I would like to get the 2 props you requested. I also need a couple of modified 1716 and 1714 for my roadrunner 21 with mac 21. Please let me know.

Thanks,

Richard,

Please give the details of the 1460. If it is setup right it should run 70+ and a little more on good 60% fuel. The 1655 with small cup will be faster (about 80 on 60%)

The 2116 should be good too, but I wonder what "really FAST" is??

Hi Andy,

This is the prop I just pick up from you about 2-3 weeks ago. It's on my partner account George Bowers. Not sure what was done on this prop and what cup I have on it.

Thanks,

Richard Mancilla
