Is the toggle switch water proof or is there a rubber boot that goes over it?

Al,

They are waterproof.

They are a latching lift to unlock type of switch no rubber boot possible or needed.

They are very low resistance high quality 100,000 cycle mechanical rating and 50,000 cycle electrical rating silver contact switches and are double sealed. There is a integral seal inside the stem then a captured in a groove rubber o-ring that won't squeeze out seals it against the inside of the box which is completely waterproof. They are also protected from over running the handle which would damage many switches but these does not affect the contacts inside.

They are IP67 rated which is waterproof to a immersion depth of 3 feet for 30 minutes.
