Does anyone make a Life Battery pack in a hump style configuration? I am looking to replace my 5 cell 3/2 NiMH hump packs for in the boats. I'm getting worn out looking.

Hi Duke,

What mah are you using. l've used many mfgs from A123 1100 mah, my preference to zippy 700 mah and some 850 mah from Daniels on IW. all worked well.

Thanks, John

1500 to 1900 maH.

I am using a LifeSource 1900mAH 3C for my steering in my twin and happy with it.

On my 1/8th Scale, I'm looking to replace my 1900 mAH niMH hump pack (Orion 1900xl) I bought from Horizon Hobby.

Batteries have 3 seasons on them-time to replace (i think)

Hi Duke,

I really like the liFe chemistry. I've had one flight on the A123, 2300 mah in October and then flew 3 flights in May the next year and never had a problem - of course I checked the pack with a load tester (Futaba BR2000) to check the pack after each flight. I'd go with the same liFe pack that you are using for the twin to keep things the same.

Wont fit. Need Hump Pack configuration.-At least the size. # of cells would be different than the niMH.

I too like the liFe chemistry.

Hyperion makes a short stubby 850mah pack. 850 mah works find on my P powered electrics boats but I'm only power one servo and a reciever. Perhaps you could stack two on top of each other with a parallel connector if you need more mah.

Edit: Looks like they make a stubby 1700mah LiFe pack also. Looks just like the Turnigy. Probably two stacked 850's.

Just replacing the 1900 maH in my scale for steering servo. 1300 is probably enough?

I use the HCAM6410 in my twin for throttle and third channel. 6411 must have replaced the 6410? Cant keep up with all the numbers.

I like having plenty of power- I sometimes forget to turn things off at the races.
