Lake Ida, countryside IL still frozen?

I haven't been by there lately. I do know that Joliet Pond is still frozen solid. Its going to take more than 3 days at 40+ to thaw it out!

Sounds like you are ready to break out a boat and get it wet!

It's a balmy 41 degrees here now but I'm not quite ready to hit the beach. At least we don't have 2 feet of snow like the East coasters! I would think that my local pond would be open will all of the chemicals in there. If you get poen water over there before I do, I might have to make a drive around the Big Lake.

42 degrees yesterday, some ponds opened up but looking at 4 to 5" of snow tonight and more on saturday pluss temp's going back down to 20 degrees. (So much for global warming!) ::

Now someone told me there is a pond just for RC boats in lombard, like North and Grace, just south. DID I hear right? and or where is this pond in country side at??

im stumped with the fast shoes thing as well..... maybe he is refering to the kids that like to run in the water on weekends when they have to soccer games and mariatchee music

well finnally the drought may be breaking (touch wood) it has rained all day yesterday and some today (but not much) so maybe in the next month or so it will pick up again and fill my lakes again so i can run in more space
