Thanks Guys, always a good time at the SAW events. Yes Gene still starts his boats with a rope start, although he has machined a outboard style started cone to replace the prop to be able to flush the engine out after running. Terry, I will certaintly be back in Flint sometime maybe even permanently in Michigan.........

Dont know about the pipes on the nitro boats... but i know what the pipes are on most of the Gas Boats out there were... and they all have internal stingers (so no need for a clamp on muffler). Most pipes on the market these days, especially the steel pipes for the Gas motors are internal stinger (as you can see there is no muffler on the pipe on my boat in signature, and it has no problem staying under 92db)
