Are people running the air cooled head with or without water, machining fins off and using water only?

IMO I would either run a water cooled head from I think any of the 20 novas, or machine all the fins off the air cooled head to make it the same size as a water cooled head. I am still restricting water a bit from there also to get the heat in

I run the direct drive cooling cap on mine with wire tie restrictions
