G and m models is the only distributer or you might can get the from Keely direct. I think they are somewhere around $15. Terry Kelly is on the boards and sure he will chime in.

Terry,

In conversation with you a few months ago you were looking to put in a gauge less than .010 (possibly .008) into the set. Have you yet? Andy Brown recommends a clearance of .008 in the 21 MAC's.

Our new gauges will be available this winter and will cover the range between 0.006" and 0.016". ;)

Terry,

Let us all know when they will be out. I have been holding getting them until the new sizes are released.

Found a set on fleabay last night. They'll be here Friday. As it always happens, I buy something, then a newer one comes out. This set will be a welcome addition to the toolbox anyway and I'll check out the newer one in the future.

What are these gauges? What do they do?
Phil    <_<
Phil, this is a wire gauge set in different diameters used to check how close the piston gets to the head button. That way, you can adjust the compression ratio. To low, poor to mediem performance. To high, pull the pin on the grenade and throw!

TraverBob,

Do you have a picture of the item you one or the item number link so I can see it? Want to know ifit's eariser than the calipers?? If it's the one that screw into the glow plug that's cool! ;)

Wow cool, how can you change the compression ratio on engines like these?

Yep, you change the head clearance to match the nitro content of your fuel and prevent detenation.

Rodney,

Think of the old style feeler gauges used for checking point settings. I believe Terry takes a set of feeler gauges, mills them down so they fit inside the plug hole. Then they are bent 90 degrees.. If no-one does, I'll get a pic out when I get home tonight..

Here's a shot of the gauges I just received recently from Gary P..
