So far, here's what's up. The date will be May 19th at Spring Valley Park site permitting (because of a possible weed problem).
This year we wil have a drawing for a prize to anyone who shows up with or without a boat. We will have the drawing about mid-day for an Aeromarine Mean Machine .18 RTR minus engine unless I can find someone to donate one to drop into it. Steve Vacarro of Offshore Electrics has donated this so I'm going to hit up the LHS's to see if I can get an engine for it to make it ready for the winner to drive that day.
So far I've got quite a few people wanting to show up with more gas boaters and possibly some airboaters wanting to hook up here.
Again, all boaters are welcome but sailboats might have a problem with the above mentioned weeds are they are usually just a few inches under the surface this time of the year but I try to set up the course around the weed bed.
There are modern restrooms at the park, pets are allowed if they're leashed and we have a couple of grills nearby if you want to cook up something. Other than that it's best to bring along your own tables and canopies if you need them as the picnic tables are heavy and hard to move.
