Truth is it does not matter.. The performance in the head was dew to the anodizing holding heat.

they went very well with a 1440 prop on a light boat

That is a design that Terry Keeley did a lot of research on and it was called a Keeley head back in the day. I am not sure about its true origins but it was the rage at one time. He is on this forum so you may want to PM him to see what has has to say about it. I would say what I think is important about head designs but we all know what that would tun into. HA
I talk to Terry often and he is a VERY smart modeler. Everything he does looks like it should be in a freaking display case! Him and Jim Allen don't take any short cuts in this hobby.
