My most recent shipment of K 45 engines all have an aluminum sleeve.

While supplies of this shipment last, I am selling them at a discounted $350.00 plus $15.00 for priority shipping in the USA.

Al i must say. If i was to guess you probably are not making any money on these motor endeavors and i applaud you for giving the folks some options.. If i was to ever get back into racing i think i would run your 21 and 45 motor. Congrats and keep up the good work!

Thank you for the kind words Chris. I had a good career and am comfortably retired. I do not need to make much on the products. But, I certainly do like to see people using my products and enjoying the hobby.

The K45 with an aluminum sleeve is $350.00 plus $17.00 shipping.

I am currently out of K45 engines with a brass sleeve. When I get those in stock the price will be $385.00 plus
$17.00 shipping.

The reason that I have some K45 engines with aluminum sleeves is that the manufacturer could not get any brass in Ukraine at that time. I have be told that it is easier to chrome brass than to chrome aluminum. That is why we normally have brass sleeves, ABC engines.

As for performance, the people using aluminum sleeved K45 engines have not sent me any complaints.

However, because most of us are used to brass sleeves, these engines have been more difficult to sell. So, I cut the price to ake them more desireable.

I do have an order in for brass sleeved K45 engines. They will wait until I get all the K21 engines on order.

I would think the heat affects the aluminum sleeve quite differently than the aluminum sleeve.

I ment to say i am sure the heat affects the aluminum sleeve quite differently than the brass sleeve. Since aluminum dissipates heat much better than brass.

Sure, I knew you mistyped. Haha ..I tested aluminum versus brass years ago on CMB 100 engines. It’s not as drastic of a change as you would think and performance was close also.

I think it's kind of a interesting subject. I know Nelson has a AAC sleeve engine. My brother had a OB powerhead that had one in it. I believe OS had or has one as well.

do you have the K45 engine with brass sleeve in stock? does it come with a header? are you going to the spring nationals?
